On October 21, the first-ever Filipino Music Awards kicked off with a star-studded red carpet that saw some of the country’s most high-profile musicians, actors, and creative workers paying tribute to Filipino music.
The awards ceremony, which honors the work and talent of Filipino musicians across multiple genres, saw a variety of guests take to the red carpet. Guests such as Wolfgang, TJ Monterde, and Zae were among the first to arrive.
Several of the Philippines’ most prolific rappers, including Shanti Dope, Hev Abi, Gloc-9, and members of Morobeats, were also in attendance.
Ely Buendia, Raymund Marasigan and Diego Castillo of Sandwich, and Jugs Julueta of The Itchyworms, all longtime mainstays of Filipino music, were among the event’s many guests.
Major acts such as BINI, SB19, IV of Spades, One Click Straight, and Ben&Ben delighted the ceremony’s attendees with appearances on the red carpet, each coming together for an evening celebrating the evolution of Filipino music.
