Is the latest teaser for The Devil Wears Prada 2 essentially 30 seconds of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) strutting her way into an elevator? Yes, but for the most devoted, nostalgic of fans, this is enough.
The camera holds on Priestly’s red Valentino heels as they click through the hallways of Runway, the (fictional) high-fashion magazine that she ran like an iron-fisted Anna Wintour in the first film. Just before the elevator doors clink shut, however, Priestly is joined by another familiar face: Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway). No longer the frumpy junior assistant of yesteryear, Sachs is back with a deadly wardrobe, a blowout ‘do to match, and an RBF that looks like it could rival Priestly’s. Of course, Madonna’s “Vogue” is playing in the background.
The long-awaited sequel to the 2006 cult classic will follow Priestly and Sachs as they attempt to navigate a publishing industry that is on the decline. Joining them on their romp through the high-stakes world of high fashion are Stanley Tucci’s Nigel and Emily Blunt’s Emily Charlton, along with newcomers Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, B.J. Novak, and more.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is slated for release in the United States on May 1, 2026.
