Post-apocalyptic anime Attack on Titan will be bringing a full-on orchestra for a back-to-back live experience called “Attack on Titan: Symphony from Paradis.” The concert will be performed by a combined ensemble of more than 100 local musicians and singers from the Filharmonika Orchestra and the Philippine Madrigal Singers. The concert will happen on August 28-29, 2027, at The Theatre at Solaire, presented by Film Concerts PH.
The concert will feature live arrangements curated by the anime’s original composers Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto, both of whom have worked on numerous series such as the space opera Mobile Suit Gundam, science fiction series 86: Eighty-Six, and The Seven Deadly Sins. The live orchestra will be accompanied by a large HD screen projected above the ensemble.
Among the many Sawano and Yamamoto compositions audiences can look forward to are themes like “Vogel im Käfig,” where the horns accompany protagonist Eren Yeager fighting Titans across Wall Sheena, alongside the main theme “ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn,” featuring an operatic performance by Mika Kobayashi.
