In case you missed it, the Philippines now has a National Cinema Day. And for its inaugural celebration on Saturday, September 12, over 100 cinemas nationwide are selling tickets for only P100 each.
Organized by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), the one-day event will allow audiences to watch local and international films scheduled for exhibition in regular 2D cinemas on Saturday for a fraction of the usual cost.
Participating cinemas span major theater chains from Luzon to Mindanao, including Ayala Malls Cinemas, SM Cinema, Robinsons Movieworld, Cinema 2000, Vista Cinemas, Megaworld Cinemas, and Citymall Cinemas. Other participating malls include Power Plant Mall, Alabang Town Center, Sta. Lucia Mall in Cainta, Island Central Mactan, Island City Mall in Tagbilaran, Alturas Mall, Sta. Lucia Mall Davao, NCCC Mall Davao, Geege Mall in Ozamiz, and KCC Mall de Zamboanga.
