Sica has returned with a couple of angel numbers on hand with the release of comeback EP, 444, under Greenhouse Records. Sica dials it down with a four-track EP after releasing two full-length albums and a couple more loosie singles that put him on the map. The hitmaker behind “Amboy Shit” and “Choosy” diversifies his skill set by hopping across different production styles. The EP was co-produced by longtime collaborators Gaspari and Because, who has also worked with Shanti Dope, Costa Cashman, to name a few.
The EP opener, “4LL 4 YOU,” features skeletal trap percussion while Sica vows in his verses that he’d do anything for his loved ones. “MICH4EL J4CK” is the most braggadocious track on the project, backed by some of its iciest production. “4 THIS” contains a violin sample, and the track focuses on Sica’s desire to stay clean and do right by his family: “Father forgive me / I might die with this shit,” he raps in a repentant tone.
The closing track, “GIRLS W4NN4 H4VE FUN,” pairs a piano line with blown-out percussion that strangely complement each other. Producer Because mentioned in a statement that the EP allowed them to “let loose” in the production, with each track taking on a different style. “It’s one of his most immersive [bodies] of work yet, embracing new sonic territories and creating a distinct world of its own,” Because says.
Sica released his sophomore album Go See God in 2024.
