On April 14, SM Mall of Asia Arena transformed into a sea of red and green as thousands of Grab Philippines and Move It riders gathered at a free thanksgiving concert celebrating the backbone of the ride-hailing economy. Headlined by Yeng Constantino, Martin Nievera, Gloc-9, Flow G, and Parokya ni Edgar, the event, titled “Saludo: Pasasalamat Para sa Grab at Move It Partners,” was like a family reunion of sorts with motorcycle crews from across the Philippines turning the venue into a vibrant showcase of rider culture.

The arena buzzed with camaraderie as riders arrived in their signature long-sleeved jerseys representing their affiliations, while some groups learned about the concert through word-of-mouth. One crew from Pasig tagged along with another group just to be part of the celebration.

The concert kicked off with Yeng Constantino delivering high-energy renditions of her hits, setting the tone for a night that balanced pop-rock with adrenaline. Rappers Gloc-9 and Flow G later paid homage to the crowd by donning coordinated red-and-green outfits during their collaboration track “Bahay Yugyugan,” while Martin Nievera’s timeless anthems had riders singing along.

But it was Parokya ni Edgar who brought the house down, shifting seamlessly from the heartbreak of “Buloy” to the headbang frenzy of “Bagsakan.” Beyond the spectacle, the concert underscored how music sustains riders during their gruelling shifts.
