My Chemical Romance Hints at New Music After Telling Fans They ‘Deserve Another Record’

My Chemical Romance has hinted at an upcoming new album. During their closing North American concert at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, for their 20th anniversary tour of The Black Parade on September 13, frontman Gerard Way teased about making new music.

“We should probably make more songs,” Way says. “And then you know, stuff happens, life happens. But, just know that, we kind of always wanted to make another record, so we hope to. Because you guys, honestly, kept us alive for so long that you guys deserve another record.”

My Chemical Romance’s last album was Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, released in 2010. The band announced their disbandment in 2013 and eventually reunited in 2019 for a series of live concerts and tours. They released their most recent song “Foundations of Decay” in 2022. 

The band will be making their return to the Philippines on November 14 at the Philippine Arena. Their last concert in the country was held at the Fort Bonifacio Open Field in Taguig City as the first leg of their Asian tour back in 2008.
