Renowned pop artist Jacob Collier is set to make his highly anticipated return to Manila on June 3 at the World Trade Center Hall D in Pasay City as part of his ongoing Djesse World Tour. Produced by Karpos, this marks Collier’s third performance in the Philippines following his debut at the Malasimbo Music Festival in Puerto Galera in 2016 and his 2022 show at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang.
Known for his genre-defying fusion of jazz and pop with highly complex chord progressions, Collier has built a reputation for electrifying live performances that blend technical mastery with infectious creativity. Fans and artists alike celebrate his ability to transform intricate musical arrangements into something exhilarating yet accessible.
Collier’s Manila performances have become legendary for their spontaneity and virtuosity. Whether balancing a full choir with live instrumentation, demonstrating his astonishing vocal range, or engaging the audience in spontaneous harmonization, he consistently pushes the boundaries of what a live performance can be. His ability to shift effortlessly from intimate acoustic moments to grand, multi-layered compositions makes each show unpredictable and thrilling.

Collier’s return is particularly exciting for the Philippines’ thriving jazz and progressive music scene, following recent performances by other world-class acts like Incognito, who visited the country last November 2024, and the upcoming Snarky Puppy show, also produced by Karpos. Collier’s influence extends beyond entertainment, where his work serves as a masterclass for aspiring musicians, proving that technical skill and emotional resonance can coexist.
