Pop-rock band Cup of Joe will release their concert film Silakbo on November 5 through the VivaOne streaming platform. The live concert film captures their second major concert held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last February, where the Baguio-based group performed back-to-back sold-out shows. The release marks another milestone for one of the country’s most successful breakout acts, documenting a pivotal moment that helped cement their place in today’s local pop-rock scene.
The band, known for chart-topping hits like “Misteryoso,” “Ikaw Pa Rin Ang Pipiliin Ko,” “Estranghero,” and “Tingin,” turned the Silakbo concert into both a celebration and statement of longevity. For a band that began with simple, emotionally charged songwriting, filling up Araneta represented the culmination of years of steady growth and connection with fans. The upcoming Silakbo concert film proves how far Cup of Joe have come from regional favorites to arena-filling hitmakers whose sound continues to resonate across generations.
Last October 10, 11 and 12, Cup of Joe followed up with another major concert run called Stardust, selling out three consecutive nights in the same venue. On October 21, they also swept key categories at the Filipino Music Awards, taking home “Song of the Year” for “Multo” and “Album of the Year” for their debut album Silakbo.
