American piano-rock band The Fray will return to Manila on December 12, 2025, for a concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum as part of their 20th-anniversary tour. The tour marks the 20th anniversary of their breakout debut album How to Save a Life. Known for their introspective lyrics and piano-driven melodies, the band has maintained a steady following in the Philippines since their first performance here in 2012.

The Fray’s music has long connected with Filipino audiences, who gravitate toward their earnest lyricism and soaring melodies. Songs like “How to Save a Life” and “Never Say Never” became radio staples domestically, their themes of resilience and hope mirroring the emotional core of many Filipino ballads. Their Manila show more than a decade ago proved their staying power, and now, 13 years later, their return underscores how their sound — both intimate and anthemic — still fills a unique space in the Philippine music scene.

Formed in Denver, Colorado, The Fray initially emerged from church music circles before transitioning to mainstream rock. While their early work carried overt spiritual themes, their later singles, such as “Over My Head (Cable Car)” and “You Found Me,” retain a reflective quality that resonated with listeners. Even after the departure of lead vocalist Isaac Slade in 2022, their sound has remained consistent, anchored by Joe King’s songwriting and the band’s signature blend of melancholy and uplift.

In the Philippines, their music has found a lasting place, often played on adult contemporary radio and covered by local artists. Their upcoming concert is expected to draw both longtime fans and newer listeners, offering a night of the band’s emotionally charged hits.

Ticket selling will start on May 30 via Midas Promotions.
