SB19 was honored with a Senate Resolution on July 31 following their historic debut performance at Lollapalooza last Friday, July 31. Senator Bam Aquino authored and filed Senate Resolution No. 545. He commended the group as the first homegrown Filipino act to perform at the international music festival.
“SB19’s performance at Lollapalooza marked a significant milestone for Filipino artists, demonstrating the growing international recognition of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) and expanding the presence of Philippine music on one of the world’s foremost festival stages,” Aquino said.
Last July 27, the group was named Philippine tourism ambassadors by the Department of Tourism. Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay said, “SB19’s talent is undeniable. Their music is powerful, and so is their influence. They have the reach to connect with fans across the United States, Europe, ASEAN, and beyond.”
SB19 are joined by the Nation’s Girl Group BINI as Philippine tourism ambassadors. The girl group was also honored by the Senate on May 6, through Senate Resolution No. 370, recognizing its historic Coachella performance in April 2026.
