SM Supermalls Makes More Room for Community, Creators With ‘My SM’ and ‘SM SuperMakers’

New leisure destinations and community programs are adding more ways for shoppers to connect, create, discover, and stay longer

SM Supermalls has announced several milestones this year as it continues to expand its leisure spaces and community hubs.

SM is taking the next step in leisure after the opening of its 90th mall, SM City Zamboanga, in the country last March. Moreover, SM Seaside Cebu Arena opened its doors last July with its premier live entertainment and concerts, setting the stage for international and local acts to utilize the venue at the heart of Cebu City. This coming November, SM Nuvali will become the flagship eat-and-play destination in Southern Luzon.

SM has also announced its expansion by transforming its shopping spaces into community hubs, highlighted by its customer-focused movement called My SM

President of SM Supermalls Steven T. Tan spoke during a press conference about how SM values opportunities for every Filipino.

“Our goal is to keep evolving alongside our shoppers, making sure SM remains a space where communities can connect, celebrate, and create memories together, showing our purpose in every experience we deliver,” Tan says.

Expanding on its community-centered approach, SM Supermalls launched SM SuperMakers, a content creator community where creators share and discover their experiences across SM. Creators can join by creating SM-related content, posting it on , and collaborating with the SuperMakers account. Creators can look forward to exclusive SM experiences, creator perks and rewards, features, community events, and more.

SM has worked with local communities by partnering with roughly 900 small businesses daily. The company has hosted trade fairs for nearly 3,000 local entrepreneurs and is driving ongoing sustainability programs such as nationwide plastic collection and solar power integration.
