R&B star Tinashe will bring her Nasty Tour to Manila’s New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on August 26. Presented by Wilbros Live, this marks the Kentucky-born artist’s second Philippine concert following her 2015 Aquarius Tour stop at The Raven Club in Bonifacio Global City – a venue swap that reflects her growing audience nearly a decade later. Her track record also consists of exclusive collaborations with pop heavyweights such as Britney Spears, A$AP Rocky, Usher, Chance the Rapper and many more.

The alternative R&B innovator has also cemented her status as one of the genre’s most compelling artists through conceptual albums and striking visuals. Ever since releasing mixtapes back in 2012 to her latest release, Quantum Baby, represents her most ambitious work yet, while breakout single “Nasty” has finally earned her mainstream recognition. The track’s viral success led to her recent feature on Charli xcx‘s brat Remix album, further expanding her reach in the pop music scene. Tinashe’s Manila return showcases an artist at her creative peak, blending the atmospheric R&B of her early work with the confident pop sensibilities of her recent hits. Historically, the city of Manila is one of the most receptive crowds in concert culture. And once Tinashe lands in Manila, the ‘freak’ levels for Filipino fans are unmatched.

Tickets for the New Frontier Theater show go on sale May 15 through Ticketnet.
